Danielle Lynne Arruda West Greenwich, Rhode Island Death: A heavily pregnant mother of two has been identified as the victim killed in Rhode Island’s New Year domestic incident. 39-year-old Danielle Arruda worked as an Escrow officer and Closing Paralegal at Marinosci Law Group in West Greenwich, Rhode Island. According to reports, Danielle Lynne Arruda along with her 2 and 5-year-old children were found dead inside her own home on Cheyenne Trail on Friday, January 3, 2024.
The beloved woman, also known as Danielle L Cihat or Danielle Day, failed to show up for work this morning, prompting a welfare check at her home on 15 Cheyenne Trail West Greenwich RI. She was 8 months pregnant.
A medical examiner was on the scene through Friday afternoon when reports of the grisly discovery surfaced. Local authorities said earlier in the day that Connecticut State Police were also involved in the investigation. According to West Greenwich Police Chief Richard Ramsay, investigators were waiting for a search warrant before they could enter the home and survey the crime scene. He later called it “one of the worst scenes” he’s ever witnessed.
“I’m not going to confirm any more than four bodies that are in the home right now,” West Greenwich Police Chief Richard Ramsay said. “Like I said, they all suffered gunshot wounds, and we have to really wait until the M.E. We have not been able to identify anybody at this point. So, we have to wait for the investigation to continue. And let’s take it one step at a time.”
Police were dispatched to conduct a welfare check on one of the victims after they failed to report to work. The Rhode Island State Police Mobile Crime Laboratory was stationed outside the residence, with investigators observed moving in and out of the house and backyard.
Town Police Chief Richard Ramsay stated that officers visited the home on Cheyenne Trail late Friday morning following a call from a coworker of a resident who had been absent from work for several days. Ramsay confirmed that the victims appeared to have died from gunshot wounds, but added that authorities are not seeking any suspects at this time.
According to Ramsay, police are actively working to determine the events and motivations behind the incident. Throughout the day, investigators were seen gathering evidence, speaking with neighbors, and carrying evidence bags from the scene. The Rhode Island State Police mobile crime lab and the state medical examiner’s office were also involved in the investigation.
Ramsay emphasized that the investigation is confined to the home and assured the community that there is no ongoing threat. Danielle Lynne Arruda’s Obituary and Funeral Arrangements will be Released…
